Job Title: Snowflake Data Engineer
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills:
​
  • Managing and organizing data, building, and maintaining databases and building optimal data pipelines for the sources. 

  • Consulting on Snowflake Data Platform Solution Architecture Design Development and deployment focused to bring the data driven culture. Maintenance of the data architecture and data models. 

  • Implement the Change Data Capture technology to load Deltas to Data Warehouses. 

  • Developing end- to- end data pipelines, for converting raw data into usable formats. Create  file formats that describes a set of staged data to access or load into Snowflake tables. 

  • Work on Snowsql and Snowpipe. Creating Snowpipe for continuous data load and Bulk load from External stage like AWS S3, Azure Blob storage, internal stage to snowflake Cloud using COPY command. 

  • Automating tasks by scheduling data pipelines to be run at a certain schedule with Cron job expression or in response to some event like using Predecessors in task creation. 

  • Organize data from various data sets and analysing data for creating graphical reports which helps business to take actions accordingly. 

  • Creating clone objects to maintain zero copy cloning. Cloning production data to do Code modifications and testing. 

  • Assist with production issues in snowflake data warehouses to ensure seamless data processing and support overall snowflake transformation journey for the clients. 

  • Collaborate with the BI developers and analysts to create custom data models and integrations with snowflake. Creation and validation of Looker Reports with snowflake Database.

  • Handle features like data security and data sharing for snowflake accounts. Implement Role based access controls for providing data Privacy. 

  • Work with common version-control systems like CI/CD and perform unit testing and problem analysis. Document the Process for build and running the jobs. 

  • Practice the JIRA ticketing System for tracing the Customer Requirements and Perform code reviews to make sure established standards and best practices are followed.  

  • Maintain customer-focused attitude and contribute to daily scrum meetings with updates. 

  • Familiar with the AZURE and AWS cloud platforms where organization uses to store, process, and manage data. 5

  • Monitoring the Snowflake account level Security and Auditing regularly and data validations through Information schema. 

  • Monitoring data pipelines for failures and long-running tasks and managing metadata such as time of the run. 

 
Education Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field

  • Snowflake Certification is an added advantage.
